Paddy Maguires has a commitment to deliver the optimum standard of service to, and care for, our customers. In this respect we observe the utmost concern for our customer’s privacy. Paddy Maguires does not sell or make available our customer’s email addresses, or any other information, to any marketing agencies or external individuals or entities not associated with Paddy Maguires. Paddy Maguires strictly observes the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988.

What kind of personal information do we collect?

The type of personal information collected can vary depending on the basis for which it is collected. For example we could obtain email addresses or other personal information in respect of our promotional and loyalty programs (including Paddys Mates). If conducting a survey we could ask for your age, and other personal information. We could also seek your ideas or opinions on the quality of service we provide, the type of entertainment we offer, or the standard of facilities we have within our venue or venues.

How do we collect your personal information?

Paddy Maguires collects personal information in a variety of ways including:

  • When you enroll in a loyalty program such as Paddys Mates.
  • Conducting surveys of our customers to obtain ideas and opinions on our services when subscribing to newsletters we might offer.

So what do we do with your personal information?

Generally your information is only used to provide services to you. Your ideas and opinions assist us in maintaining a level of service and quality commensurate which that required and expected by our customers. We use email addresses to provide newsletters, only when you submit a request to us to receive newsletters. From time to time we may use the information to notify you of special deals or promotions we and only we, offer.

Who do we disclose our customer’s personal information to?

Metro Hospitality Group (our main trading arm) which incorporates the Paddy Maguires and The Elephant network of pubs, and the Australian hotel chain, Metro Hotels.

  • Your authorised representatives or legal advisers
  • Information technology service companies
  • Credit agencies to conduct credit checks
  • Government and regulatory authorities/organisations, as required by law

When entering into an agreement with an outsourced services provider, Paddy Maguires requires all such businesses to operate within the National Privacy Principles.

We do not collect personally identifiable information when you browse our Web site and request pages from our servers unless you voluntarily and knowingly provide it to us. This means we will not know your name, your email address, or any other personally identifiable information when you browse our Web site. When you request a page from our site, our servers log the information provided in the HTTP request header including the IP number, the time of the request, the URL of your request and other information that is provided in the HTTP header. We collect the HTTP request header information to make our Web site function properly and provide you with the functionality you expect. We also use this information to better understand how visitors use our site and how we can better fine-tune it, its contents, and functionalit.

There will be times where we may ask you to submit information, for the purposes of online customer surveys, subscriptions to our newsletter or provide information on whether you plan to attend a particular event or entertainment day/night. In these circumstances, Paddy Maguires or a third party engaged by Paddy Maguires will collect the information. This information will be used by Paddy Maguires or the third party to provide you with the services and information you have requested. At any time, you will be able to opt out from receiving further information by notifying the relevant party.
